- 1 cup salted butter (softened)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips

R E C I P E
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl
- In another bowl, cream the butter and the sugars (use the bowl for your standing mixer if you are using one)
- Beat in eggs and vanilla
- Add in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until combined
- Stir in the chocolate chips with a spatula
- Roll into golf-sized balls. Bake for 8-12 minutes (this really depends on your oven, so I suggest starting with 8 minutes and adding more time if you need to). The cookies should be thick but fully flat and slightly brown on the top and sides
- Let the cookies cool fully (~15 minutes)
T I P S
- I would definitely recommend using a standing mixer if you have one
- Feel free to try different chip flavors (I have tried Reese’s and white chocolate…both amazing!)
- This recipe definitely makes a lot of cookies, so feel free to split the dough and put 1/2 in the fridge or freezer
I hope you will enjoy this recipe as much as I do (I literally bake these cookies at least once every 2 weeks, as my family, friends, and neighbors can confirm)!
