I’m back from my holiday vacation in Florida and excited to dive back into my daily insights! During my stay in the small coastal town of Melbourne Beach, one thing that truly stood out was how transformative being outdoors can be. Walking along the beach, with the salty breeze in the air and palm trees swaying in the breeze, filled me with a profound sense of peace. Sure, it’s easier to enjoy the outdoors when it’s not -20°C, but I will still find a moment each day to step outside and connect with nature. Beyond the natural beauty, I was struck by the warmth and friendliness of the people who lived there. Strangers exchanged smiles, sparked easy conversations, and created a genuine sense of community that was quite uplifting. It’s funny how even in the bustling city of Montreal, I can sometimes feel alone, yet a few kind faces in a brand-new place made me feel welcomed, happy, and at home.
