Homemade tortilla chips

I’m not sure this even qualifies as a recipe (and it’s definitely not a dessert like I normally post), but it’s such a fun appetizer or snack idea I wanted to share. All the credit goes to my sister for this one!

Total time: 10 minutes

  • Whole wheat tortillas
  • Avocado oil
  • Salt, pepper, any seasoning of your choice!

  1. Preheat your airfryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut your tortillas into large triangles and place in a bowl.
  3. Add a dash of avocado oil (just enough to lightly coat both sides).
  4. Add salt, pepper, and any other seasoning. Stir to coat evenly.
  5. Place in the airfryer for 6 minutes and flip halfway.

  • Cut the tortilla triangles slightly larger than chip size you want, as they will shrink in the airfryer.
  • Make sure to spread out the tortilla triangles in a single layer rather than piling them up. This helps them cook evenly and crisp up on both sides.
  • Pair with your favorite dips. We had them with goat cheese and chive spread or and guacamole!

I like it as it is healthier than any processed chips that we could buy! I do that also with pita bread instead of using Stacey chips for exemple.
