There’s nothing quite like stepping outside, breathing fresh air, and soaking in the peace of nature. It’s truly the best medicine. Speaking of medicine, I am currently in my rural family medicine rotation, and being in this setting has reminded me how important it is to slow down. Here, there’s time to genuinely connect with patients, hear their stories, and still have moments to recharge myself. After a busy day, nature is right there to reset me—the quiet countryside, beautiful sunsets, and sense of community. It’s a perfect balance: doing meaningful work, caring for others, and taking care of myself.
