Action is the enemy of anxiety.
If you’re anxious, chances are you’re stuck in your head: you’re thinking, overthinking, imagining, worrying, but not doing.
When I’m anxious, I play out every possible scenario that could go wrong, but I’m not actually doing anything. And the worst part is, the more I sit with my thoughts, the bigger the anxiety becomes. And the bigger the anxiety becomes, the more compelled I feel to think about it. Hence, the vicious cycle of DOOM.
Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. Just start doing something. Anything. Focus on that one step, and only that step, until you complete it. Then move on to the next.
You got this xx
